IMPORTANT NOTICE
Children under 12 years-old must be accompanied
by an adult (18 years or older) at all times.
Health Department guidelines will be available some time in May.
THE FOLLOWING RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE FOR THE PROTECTION AND BENEFIT OF ALL MEMBERS. THESE RULES HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED TO ASSURE SAFE AND SANITARY OPERATION OF THE POOL FACILITIES AND ARE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SWIMMING POOL CODE OF NEW JERSEY {1976} N.J.A.C. 8:26 AS REVISED 2004, NEW JERSEY STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. PARENTS ARE REQUESTED TO CAUTION THEIR CHILDREN THAT EVERYONE MUST OBSERVE ALL RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS OF THE POOL MANAGER, BOARD MEMBER AND LIFEGUARDS. ANY FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES SHALL BE CONSIDERED SUFFICIENT CAUSE FOR IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP.
1. POOL HOURS
a. Sunday through Thursday: 12:30pm to 8pm Friday and Saturday: 12:30pm to 10pm
b. The pool and its facilities will be open the Saturday of Memorial Day through Labor Day.
c. The pool may be closed for maintenance operations, health conditions, weather, or any other reason deemed appropriate by the Pool Manager. It will be posted to the Facebook Page.
2. MEMBER OBLIGATIONS
The Newfield Swim Club is a member owned and operated pool. This means we ALL have a responsibility to take care of the grounds, pay taxes and insurance fees, as well as maintenance costs.
a. Sign in with first and last names for all people that arrived at the pool with you. This includes all members of your household and any guests that accompany you.
b. Members will adhere to all directions of the lifeguard on duty.
c. Members will have use of kitchen and grills, and will clean after use.
d. Children 11 and under MUST be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or an adult 18+.
e. Children 12-17 are allowed to stay at the pool without parent, grandparent, adult. They must follow all rules of the pool and lifeguard.
f. Each family is to sign up for and complete TWO (2) Pool Watches. If not completed, a $50 pool watch fee will be added to the next seasons invoice.
g. Each family has the opportunity to complete 6 hours of work to prepare or close the pool for the season. These jobs may require a special skill set (carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc) and are available on a first come first served basis. Contact a board member to sign up and get signed off that work was completed. If not completed, a $100 fee will be added to the next seasons bill.
h. Any member wishing to resign their membership must offer it for sale in writing PRIOR to January 1st of the upcoming season or annual dues will be assessed to your account and deducted from the redemption amount due.
3. RULES OF CONDUCT
a. Members will drive slowly and carefully on approaching roads and parking areas. Parking lot speed will not exceed 10 mph. Members’ cars shall be parked in the pool parking lot. Parking on side streets is absolutely prohibited. Excessive speed, noise, or any form of annoyance to our neighbors is forbidden. The speed limit is 25 mph.
b. All bicycle riders will use bicycle stalls, and ride carefully; keep off private property, and respect the property of our neighbors.
c. Use of the baby pool pavilion is strictly for members and guests WITH small children.
d. Parents are responsible for their children while on pool property and the observation of all pool rules.
4. GUESTS
a. Each Member family will receive 10 guest passes,
c. All guests must be signed in by a member and accompanied by a member at all times. Members cannot register a guest and then leave the pool grounds. When the member leaves, the guest must leave.
d. All rules of members will be applicable to their guests.
e. Members that are 12-17 years old may bring a guest with them, but they do not count for the family guest passes. The guest must pay $10 to the lifeguard on duty, during break. When the member leaves, the guest must leave. Members 12-17 years old are NOT permitted to use guest passes without parent’s permission.
5. HEALTH AND SAFTEY
a. NO SMOKING permitted inside the main gate.
b. Admission to the pool shall be refused to anyone with colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, infections, or wearing bandages or casts.
c. No pets allowed on the club property including parking lot area before, during, or after the swimming season.
d. No glass containers of any kind will be allowed in the club. Only plastic or aluminum containers are acceptable.
e. No running, pushing, wrestling, in or about the pool area.
f. Children using floatable devices shall be watched at all times in the main pool and the kiddy pool.
g. Children 11 and under will not be permitted within the club area unless accompanied by a member an adult.
h. Use of the kiddie pool shall be limited to children 6 years of age or under. Children must be supervised by an adult other than the guard on duty. No rigid plastic or metal toys will be allowed in the kiddie pool.
i. No chairs permitted on pool deck.
j. All persons should shower before entering the water.
k. All children in diapers must wear swim diapers designed for immersion in water.
l. Do not enter the water if you are experiencing or have had any signs or symptoms of gastrointestinal disease in the past 7 days.
m. Any person showing evidence of any communicable skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharges, or any communicable disease shall be denied admission.
6. GENERAL
a. All persons using the club facilities do so at their own risk. The club will not be responsible for any accident or injury in connection with such use.
b. The club will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property. It is recommended that no valuables be brought into the club area or left in changing rooms.
c. Profanity or abusive language will not be tolerated on pool grounds.
d. Conduct which endangers the safety and comfort of others shall be prohibited.
e. Unnecessary conversation with the Lifeguards, while on duty, is prohibited.
f. Diving is only permitted in the deep end of the pool.
g. Persons suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall be prohibited from entering the water.
h. All chairs on pool grounds need to be freestanding. Chairs that need to be set up or attached to a structure are prohibited.
