Parents, Guardians, Swimmers,
We’d like to welcome our swim families for another fun summer. Although we have transitioned to a new swim league, our dedication and love for our swimmers will remain unchanged. This transition will allow us to have more team bonding time and fun activities for our swimmers this summer. We are excited for what this summer will bring, and we hope you are too.
Swim Practices:
Swimmers will be assigned to groups based on skill level at the discretion of the coaching staff. It is possible for swimmers to move from one skill group to another as they progress. A coach will discuss progress and any potential group changes with parents prior to moving swimmers. Swimmers will still compete according to their age group. Initial group assignments will be emailed prior to the first practice.
All swimmers should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of their practice. First practice needs to help prepare the pool in the morning before practice begins. The last practice must help put everything away to prepare to open for members after practice each day. Please pick swimmers up promptly at the end of their practice time.

Vacations or Absences: In order to get the most out of the season we ask swimmers to attend at least four practices a week. However, we realize this is not always possible. If you have scheduled vacations or know a swimmer is going to be absent, just let us know in advance via swimmer registration form or written note.
Prior to the start of each new week, sign out sheets for meets will be posted by the kitchen door. Parents are expected to add their swimmer’s name to the list if they will not be participating in that meet. It is important that coaches have an early, reliable headcount of who is available to attend each meet to make the line up for that meet.
Additional Information:
Code of Conduct:
✦ There will be zero tolerance for disrespect toward coaches or other swimmers. We expect that all swimmers treat coaches, parents, and swimmers with respect. Unacceptable behavior (talking back, refusing to do sets, giving coaches an attitude) will not be tolerated.
✦ We are here to help you improve and therefore swim practice is for swimming, not fooling around. Unacceptable behavior that prevents us from doing our job will not be tolerated.
✦ We expect you to exhibit good sportsmanship, both during practice and meets. Examples include swimming events you may not like without complaining, showing respect for your fellow teammates, maintaining a positive attitude, and exhibiting team spirit.
✦ You are always racing against the clock, not the person swimming next to you! Please try your best and always give 110 percent!
We want to thank you in advance for your interest and participation in the Newfield Swim Team. Together all coaches will work with your child to improve their strokes while fostering a fun environment where they can enjoy the summer sun! If there is anything we can do to help you or your child, do not hesitate to contact a swim mom. We look forward to your questions, feedback, and conversation!

Hello to Parents and Swimmers,
Summer is quickly approaching and arrangements are being made for the Summer 2023 Barracudas Swim Season. As most of you know, we have switched leagues and are now a part of the Suburban Swimming Association of South Jersey. This season promises to be a great season with some changes, but many benefits for our swimmers. We know that they will all be able to rise to the challenge!!!
We would like to welcome back our Coaches; Sara Leonelli, Jordan Hess, Nicole Fabrizio, Craig Tubertini, Ava Fry, Kristen Dwight, and Jackson Tubertini. We would also like to extend a warm Barracudas welcome to Coach Faith Smedley.
Coach Faith has been swimming since she was 6 years old. She has swum for GPAC, Vineland YMCA, Georgetown Swim Club, SJAC and a few other teams throughout her career. Faith began coaching for the Newfield Narwhals in the fall 2020. Coach Faith is currently studying Health and Science Communication at Rowan University. She is also part of the Rowan Club Swimming Team. Coach Faith is very excited to be coaching with the Barracudas this year!
